Harmonics file error

Postby TampaTony » 22 May 2010 15:31

Hello,
I have been using WXtide for several years and I think it is a great program. I had to reinstall it recently but when trying to open the application I get this error message: Cannot open harmonics file 'harmonics-2004-06-14.tcd. I remember having this trouble in the past and finding a solution on the net. However, this time I cannot find a solution. Can you offer a suggestion. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

Tony,
Do you have any idea how to convert the harmonics file (*.tcd) to text? I am trying to create some text files for specific locations (e.g., Seymour in B.C. its the current station).

Sorry, I know this is off your topic.

There are 205 views of this topic. Does anyone have the answer? The harmonics file throws an error. I am using windows 7. Can't see a way through this issue so far. Thanks - Graham

OK. The solution is:
simply open the folder that contains the application files. Locate the file called HARMONICS. Right-click the filename and rename it to the full name of the file as shown in the error message.
HARMONICS-2006-06-14.TCD You should now find it runs fine - easy! It's a great program - pity about this tiny bug....
