Help with Command Line Needed

Postby dankope » 07 May 2010 17:43

Hi, I'm trying create a text file output with WXTide32 for use with a Word Press plugin I have. The plugin's readme file refers to an Xtide (Unix) command line and I was wondering if anyone could help me translate it into the Windows command line I need to run to get the same output. This is the instruction from the readme file:

1. Tide tables for some time into the future are generated locally with XTide, using "tide" from the command line and producing a text file with "plain" output and the .xtd extension.

$ tide -l "Balboa, Panama" -e "2007-12-31 11:59" > balboa.xtd

This is a (truncated) sample from the output file:

Balboa, Panama
8.9667° N, 79.5667° W

2010-01-21 2:14 PM EST 0.84 meters Low Tide
2010-01-21 6:20 PM EST Sunset
2010-01-21 8:19 PM EST 4.11 meters High Tide
2010-01-21 11:59 PM EST Moonrise
2010-01-22 2:50 AM EST 0.95 meters Low Tide
2010-01-22 6:39 AM EST Sunrise
2010-01-22 8:40 AM EST 3.72 meters High Tide
2010-01-22 10:15 AM EST Last Quarter
2010-01-22 12:02 PM EST Moonset
2010-01-22 2:58 PM EST 1.04 meters Low Tide
2010-01-22 6:20 PM EST Sunset
2010-01-22 8:59 PM EST 3.97 meters High Tide

Any help would be greatly appreciated!
