Need lower current multiplier

Postby BobLarkin » 31 Jul 2010 18:08

First, before my need, let me say that I really like using WXTide32 and find the presentations to really suit my needs. My sailboat has a laptop and I use the program all the time. Mike thank you for all your efforts with this!

OK, I am now going through the current data for the regions of Washington and Oregon that I normally use, and am finding a bunch of errors. I am fixing these, I hope, by creating "User Stations" with slightly modified names (I add "_1" to the end). Then I go back to the master harmonic.idx file and comment out the incorrect data. Then only the corrected data shows under "Locations." I will make the files available to others when I get sufficient area checked. This is not the best way to do huge numbers of stations, but seems to be a work-around for my limited use.

I discovered in making a User Station that the program error checking will not allow a "Current Multiplier" less than 0.2, but Puget Sound stations per NOAA have several that are 0.1. For now, I arbitrarily bump these up to 0.2, that is probably an adequate answer, but the error limits should go down to 0.1.

Any comments would be appreciated.
